Oops, I did it again! I broke my vow to not buy another book without getting rid of two books.  I will give this book away when I'm done reading, I swear!  So, please follow me to  get informed of all my latest giveaway of  books  that I need to rid of to free up some space on my cluttered bookshelves.  I cherish all my books so these books are in "Like New" condition.

I bought this book because I have been on Twitter and Instagram for a while now and I feel like I'm not getting anything from my time spent there.  May be this book will help me increase my followers on Instagram?

My Thought On Reading This Book:

"Once just the preserve of those with a decent disposable income, cameras are now almost ubiquitous in the western world; always in our handbag or pocket as part of our smartpphone or tablet." - pg. 13.  Did the  author take a serious look at Instagram where there aren't just "western" posters.  People from all over the world, have been sharing their photos on Instagram!  A lot of people in this world have smartphones with cameas, even in the poor villlages in Africa,  and the once impoverished places in China and India. Even the refugees who rushed the borders of Europe and the USA carried smartphones with cameras! Cameras are ubiquitous everywhere in this world, not just the western world.

"The internet, and platforms like Instagram, gives everyone the chance to own their voice for the first time in human history." - pg 13.  The keyword is the "chance".  To me, this chance isn't any better than  the chance of getting heard by screaming out to the ocean.

This is the first book that I checked out from the library in 2021! Happy reading for the New Year, everybody!! Call me shallow but  I like this book more than the other book that I have been trying to finish reading since last year.  Supper Menu inspired by pg. 23 of this book (The meal that Laura made for Gabe on their first meeting): BLT Sandwich Clam Chowder Milk Coffee Laura seemed to also enjoy hot chocolate .  So I often made one when I have time to sit down to continue my reading of this book.
