Easy Meal Plans For Diabetes

This book provides easy meal planning techniques and great sample meal plans for everybody who wants to eat healthy. Not only does it provide meal plans for home cooking, it also provides sample portioned meal ideas for dining out. I enjoy the meal planning tips and the portioned meals the book provides for dining in Chinese restaurants. I find this section very helpful when I'm ordering Chinese food delivery.  I like that I have the option to eat a nutrition balanced and healthy meal without any thinking or cooking.

One of the meal plans featured in this book:

Breakfast: 
  • 1 cup oatmeal with dash of cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp. raisins
  • 1 cup fat-free (skim) or low-fat (1%) milk
Lunch:
  • Stouffer's Lean Cuisine Lasagna with Meat Sauce
  • Tossed salad with 2 tbsp. reduced-fat Salad Dressing 
  • 1/2 slice whole-wheat bread with 1 tsp. margarine
Dinner:
  • 1 serving Orange Roughy Picante
  • 1 cup Spanish rice
  • 1/2 cup green beans, fresh or frozen
  • 1-1/4 cup watermelon, cubed
  • 1 slice whole-wheat bread
