Get Cooking! (Dk)


This cookbook is one of my favorite books from our local libary.  The recipes featured in this cookbook have a lot of beautiful and inpiring photos.  The instructions are very well oraganized with photos so they are very easy to understand and follow.  There are pointers to tell me what should be done by the adults and what can be done by the kids  during the cooking process.  It's a great cookbook to get the kids involved in making dinners. Instead of letting the TV and i-Pad babysit the kids and stressing out, this cookbook helps to turn the stressful dinner cooking time into quality and enjoying family time with the kids.  Besides teaching the kids the basic cooking skills, this book can also help to improve the kids' math and reading skills.

This is the first book that I checked out from the library in 2021! Happy reading for the New Year, everybody!! Call me shallow but  I like this book more than the other book that I have been trying to finish reading since last year.  Supper Menu inspired by pg. 23 of this book (The meal that Laura made for Gabe on their first meeting): BLT Sandwich Clam Chowder Milk Coffee Laura seemed to also enjoy hot chocolate .  So I often made one when I have time to sit down to continue my reading of this book.
