The Next Best Thing - Free Novel Giveaway

Since the beginning of this blog, I had listed this book on this blog to be given away. It's been years now and there hasn't been any taker.  My local library already had several copies of this book so I don't want to give it to the library to take up its valuable real estate.  Today, I donated this book to the free little library on the curbside.  Now my bookshelf has one book less.

My Review On This Book:

A lot of my friends like this book. They are the ones who recommended this book to me. But this book isn't my cup of tea.  I didn't relate to the heroine Ruth and I have no interest in her love life either.  None of her boyfriends were likable and they failed to impress me. I found the sex scenes in this book stupid and totally not romantic.  The only likable characters in this fiction were Ruth's grandma and her boyfriend whom she eventually married in the story. The backdrop of this fiction was Los Angeles but reading it didn't make me particularly want to visit Los Angeles.  It just didn't make me feel curious about the place to even visit.

P.S. I'm now giving a bunch of magazines and books that are like new in condition, to make space in my cluttered bookshelf.  Feel free to click here to check them out before you head to the bookstore to spend money to buy any of them.
