My Books Organizer

 I'm currently reading this book.  So far I find the story enjoyable. The heroine in this book, Goldy, is a very likable and relatable character.  Since Goldy is a caterer, a lot of the storyline unfolds when Goldy is doing the cooking or serving the food.  I love to eat,  reading this book makes me hungry and want to go to the kitchen and start cooking. This book introduced me to a beverage that I never heard of or paid attention to even if it has always been in the store, it's Postum, the coffee substitute .  Now I want to get a jar just out of curiosity.   This book begins with an inspiring menu of a cold buffet . This is a fantastic cake decorating book. This book features lots of creative and fun cakes that suit every fun occasion and celebration.  There are detailed instructions with beautiful photographs to show us how to make each one of them.  This book is a must-read for the cake decorating enthusiasts. This is another one of those books that I can't let go.  I enjoy reading the stories in this book and the recipes that are included with the stories.  This recipe is one of my favorites:  Mother's Everyday Pimento Cheese . Then there are stories that help me discover new foods and wacky kitchen gadgets that I had never thought of , like the shrimp deveiner mentioned in the story " Assault and Battery".  There is also the humor that gives me a laugh at myself,  click here  to read.  So, no, I'm not giving away or selling this book in the meantime. This is one of my favorite cookbooks that I can't bare to part with.  I love the monthly menu ideas in this cookbook. I had put out some of my cherished cookbooks for sale to make space. This is the first book that I checked out from the library in 2021! Happy reading for the New Year, everybody!! Call me shallow but  I like this book more than the other book that I have been trying to finish reading since last year.  Supper Menu inspired by pg. 23 of this book (The meal that Laura made for Gabe on their first meeting): BLT Sandwich Clam Chowder Milk Coffee Laura seemed to also enjoy hot chocolate .  So I often made one when I have time to sit down to continue my reading of this book.

This book provides easy meal planning techniques and great sample meal plans for everybody who wants to eat healthy. Not only does it provide meal plans for home cooking, it also provides sample portioned meal ideas for dining out. I enjoy the meal planning tips and the portioned meals the book provides for dining in Chinese restaurants. I find this section very helpful when I'm ordering Chinese food delivery.  I like that I have the option to eat a nutrition balanced and healthy meal without any thinking or cooking.
